Task template
A task must describe one observable action or result.
</aside>
Define the observable evidence required before setting Status to Done. Status is the canonical completion field. Keep the Completed checkbox aligned as a compatibility mirror until Phase 5 updates every remaining form and linked view.
Set the authoritative Business relation first and the Project relation when the task belongs to a project. Business Area and Project View Filter are legacy compatibility helpers; populate them only when an existing linked view still depends on them, and never use them instead of the relations.
Use Blocked By Tasks, Waiting On Person, or Waiting On Supplier as the structured dependency. Use Blocker and Waiting On for context that cannot be represented by a relation. When a formal decision is required, check Decision Needed and connect the related Decision Record.
Connect Handoff To Person when the recipient exists in People & Contractors. Use Handoff To only for additional context or an external recipient that cannot yet be represented by a People record.
Use Waiting only when a structured waiting relation or the Waiting On context identifies the dependency. Use Blocked only when Blocked By Tasks or the Blocker context identifies the obstacle. Set Status to Done only after the completion evidence is verified, then align the Completed compatibility checkbox. The Recurring checkbox identifies repeated work; it does not create the next task or a reminder unless a separate recurrence has been configured.
